Barbara Weist

Barbara Kay Weist, 86 passed away in Brentwood of Niles on Wednesday, May 2, 2018.

Kay was born in Buchanan on February 17, 1932 to the late Charles and Cora Belle (Guernsey) Bailey.  She is also preceded by her husband Tilden Winfield “Bud” Weist,  brothers; Art and Robert Bailey.

Kay is survived by her children; Robert T. Weist of Mishawaka, Joseph C. (Karolyn) Weist, Sr. of Dowagiac, Sally (Terry) Ingle of Rineyville, KY, grandchildren; Elizabeth, Robert, James, Anneliese, Helen, Karolyn, Joseph Jr., Shawn, Jennifer, Four Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Kay worked as a Loan Officer for Pacesetter Bank, Kent Bank and 5/3 Bank in Niles. She was a member of the Niles Business Professional Women.  She enjoyed gardening, walks, camping and nature.  Kay also loved to read.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place.  The family has entrusted Halbritter Wickens Funeral Home 615 E. Main St. Niles with the arrangements.
