Christopher Joseph Jankoviak, 57, of Niles, died suddenly in an automobile accident, December 6, 2025.
His life began June 27, 1968 in Niles, the fifth of fourteen children, born to Jon Donald and Kathleen Joan Jankoviak. He married Mandy Lynne Holtgren on June 26, 2010. She survives.
Chris graduated from First Assembly Christian Schools in 1986. He then went on to Trinity Bible College and graduated from Bethel College. Chris worked at New Age Telecom with an amazing team. His priorities were Jesus, Mandy, kids and church. Chris lived a life that shined for Jesus. It showed through how he lived and preached the Gospel throughout the area. Chris and Mandy shared a story that could only have been orchestrated by God and a love that lives on through their children. El was daddy’s girl and each boy felt uniquely known and loved. Chris was known as a quiet man until he started to talk about God. His passion for Christ was undeniable; he was a man after God’s own heart.
Chris will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Mandy Jankoviak of Niles; his favorite daughter, Ellesyn Mary Kay Jankoviak of Niles; five sons, Nolyn Wayne (Gracie) Jankoviak of Cheyenne Wyoming, Archer Taden Jankoviak of Niles, Johnathon Michael Jankoviak (who joined his dad in heaven), Boaz Christopher Jankoviak of Niles, Benson Mathias Jankoviak of Niles; mother, Kathleen Jankoviak of Niles; seven sisters, Cynthia Ann (Larry) Cashier of Niles, Constance Joan Jankoviak of Niles, Tricia Marie (Jeremy) Applegate of Florida, Rebecca Sue (Josh) Asmus of Niles, Monica Ruth (Matt) Moore of Niles, Karri Michelle (Matt) Sterling of Niles, Debra Nicole (Aaron) Weise of Niles; six brothers, Jon James (Toni) Jankoviak of Dowagiac, David Moses Jankoviak of Niles, Daniel Matthew (Keyna) Jankoviak of Niles, Andrew Paul Jankoviak of Niles, Nicholas Gerard (Christina) Jankoviak of Arkansas, Jeremy Francis (Alison) Jankoviak of Edwardsburg and numerous nieces and nephews! He was preceded in death by his father Jon Donald Jankoviak.
Family and friends will gather in Summit Church 1700 West River Road, Niles on Sunday, December 14, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. His service will be held at Bethel University in the Everest -Rohrer Fine Arts Center, 1001 Bethel Circle Drive Mishawaka, Indiana 46545, Monday, December 15, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Dan Miller officiating. Chris will be laid to rest in Silverbrook Cemetery alongside his son Johnny at a later date.
