Spring Lake – Cynthia R. Johnson, 52, passed away at 12:04pm on Friday, September 8, 2017 in Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI.

Cindy was born on December 31, 1964 in Niles, MI to David C. and Judith A. (Barker) Vinnedge

On June 20, 1987 in St. John’s United Church of Christ in Niles, Cindy married Todd M. Johnson. He survives along with her parents; daughter, Kaila R. Johnson; son, Kevin M. Johnson; sister, Michelle L. (Curtis) Webber; brother, David M. Vinnedge; father-in-law, Robert L. Johnson; sisters-in-law, Robin L. (Steve) Schillaci and Vicki L. (Steve) Olsen; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a multitude of cats. Cindy was preceded in death by mother-in-law, Marcia S. Johnson.

Cindy graduated from Ferris State College with an Associate’s Degree in Commercial Art, where she met her husband, Todd. She was extremely creative, having her own Premier jewelry business and custom cookie business called the Baked Piper. She was very family orientated and loved her family very much. Animals and their welfare were also very important to Cindy. She was a Girl Scout and was with the Girl Scouts for over 30 years and volunteered for just about every position available.

Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 in HALBRITTER WICKENS FUNERAL HOME 615 E. Main St., Niles. A Funeral Service will be at 2pm on Thursday, September 14, 2017 in St. John’s United Church of Christ, 601 Sycamore St. in Niles.
