Cynthia Louise Quick, age 72, of Niles, Michigan & Clermont, Florida died at 6:25 p.m. on Friday, May 5, 2017 at her daughter’s home following an illness of eight months.

Cindy, as she was known, was born on November 12, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois. She was the daughter of Helene (Mackey) and Harold M. Pritchard, M.D. of Niles. Most of her life was in Niles until moving to Florida in 2004.

Cindy worked for Michigan Bell Telephone Company for twenty-four years and then after earning an associate’s degree became a teacher’s aide in the Brandywine School System.

All will remember her smiling face and ability to laugh. For over thirty years she bowled at Shula’s, was a member of the Brandywine Booster Club and for many years was a basketball scorekeeper. You would always find Cindy at any sporting events especially watching her grandchildren. She enjoyed her role as a mother and then grandmother as well as being a good care giver to those in need.

Cindy is survived by her son Don (Yanneth) Quick and daughter, Robyn (Mark) O’Keefe all of Florida. Her grandchildren include Jazmyn, Donovan & Dominic Quick and Ryan & Megan O’Keefe. Also, surviving are her birth sisters Patricia Walters, Suzanne Nunn, Mary McWethy and Jackie Schmidt; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her deceased parents, her brother, Don who died in 1966, her birth mother Cleora Walters, sister Marcia Twaddell and brother Steve Walters, her grandparents Fred and Bessie Pritchard; and Robert M. Quick (who died June 6, 2016) all preceded her in death.

The funeral service for Cynthia L. Quick will be 10:00 a. m. on Saturday June 3, 2017 at the Halbritter Wickens Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Fleischman of Fairland Christian Church officiating. Private family burial will take place at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens in Niles.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday (June 2) at the Halbritter -Wickens Funeral Home in Niles. Contributions in memory of Cindy may be made to Make-A-Wish America; 4742 N. 24th St, Suite 400; Phoenix, AZ 85016.
