Erwin Ronald Kruger

Erwin Ronald Kruger, 82, of Mishawaka, Indiana formerly of Coloma, Michigan died peacefully Wednesday May 20, 2026 in the comfort of his family’s presence.

His life began July 1, 1943 in Baroda, Michigan the third of four children born to Walter and Ruth Kruger. He married Wilma Modro on July 21, 2007 in Niles, Michigan.

Erwin will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by His wife, Wilma Kruger of Mishawaka, Indiana; one sister, Irma Reed of Mishawaka, Indiana, two brothers, Gerhard “Gerry” (Elektra) Kruger of Sunland, California, and Richard (Sue) Kruger of Dowagiac; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Family and friends will gather for a visitation, Tuesday May 26, 2026 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in Halbritter Wickens Funeral Services, 615 East Main Street, Niles. Erwin will be laid to rest in Riverview Cemetery.
