George Neidlinger

George L. Neidlinger, 53 of Niles passed away at home on Sunday, December 25.

George was born in St. Paul, MN to Edward and Julia (Anthony) Neidlinger. He is preceded by his mother Julia, nephew Michael Soyk, and niece Nicole Quint.

George is survived by his father Edward of Higden, AR, his daughter Caitlynn Dale Murdock of Dowagiac, MI; step children; Whitney and Ryan Koth; sisters, Kandy Kirby of Niles, MI, Donna Villagrana of Buchanan, MI, and Susan Hickingbottom of LA, grandchildren; Brayden Koth, Braxton Koth, David Lee Smith, Sydney Maureen Smith, Whitney Koth, and Ryan Koth. Also surviving are his nieces and nephew, Kasey Neidlinger, Breanna Soyk, and Edward Soyk and a great nephew Leo Neidlinger and his longtime companion Maureen Wilson.

George had lived most of his life in Niles. He honorably served in the Army. George worked as a Forklift driver for Michiana Box and Crate. He enjoyed watching Western movies, gardening and working in the yard. Most of all, he cherished the time he spent with his family.

A memorial service for George will be held at 1:00 p.m. on January 3, 2017 in the Halbritter Wickens Funeral Home 615 E. Main St. Niles. The family will receive family and friends an hour before the service.
