Harry Noecker

November 11, 1941 — January 27, 2018

Harry D. Noecker, 76 of Niles, passed away in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka on Saturday, January 27, 2018.

Harry was born on November 11, 1941 on the family farm in Cassopolis to the late Fred and Doris (Watson) Noecker.  Harry is also preceded in death by an infant sister Betty.

On September 13, 1963 in Niles, he married Janice McIntyre who celebrated 54 years of marriage.

Harry is survived by his wife Janice, their children, Carol (Jeff Strauss) Knight of Buchanan and Brian (Wendy) Noecker of South Bend; granddaughters, Victoria Knight, Breanna and McKayla Noecker, his sister, Barb (Bill) Evans and brother Roger Noecker, both of Niles.  He is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.

Harry worked at National Standard, retiring in 2001.  He loved the Lord and was an active member at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church where he held numerous positions including, Elder, Trustee, Finance Board and Vice President.  He would visit elderly and shut-ins for the church.  Harry loved baseball and football.  He was a Detroit Lions and Tiger’s fan, he enjoyed watching Notre Dame football.  He also enjoyed golfing and bowling.  Harry never missed a game for his children and grandchildren.  He coached youth baseball and softball.  Harry loved his cat, Callie.

Visitation for Harry will be on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church 1340 Sycamore, Niles, Michigan from 5pm – 8pm.  A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 31 at 11:00 am in the Church.  Burial will follow at Mission Hills.

Preferred Memorials may be directed to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or American Heart Association
