Michael John Reum, age 40 years of Niles, Michigan died unexpectedly at 7:29 p.m. on Monday, May 1, 2017 at Lakeland Hospital – Niles.
He was born on July 17, 1976 in Niles to Michael John and Mary Rose (Ochenryder) Reum. He attended Niles Community Schools, and was graduated from Brandywine High School. He was a skilled automobile mechanic, and had been employed in many of this area’s auto repair shops. More recently he had been employed as a driver for First Student transportation, serving Howard School.
Mike enjoyed fishing at Barron Lake, bowling, and watching a wide variety of movies. He was a talented tailor, creating many household clothing and linen items. His greatest joy was his family.
Surviving family includes his mother, Mary (& Randy) Womble of Niles; sisters Christie (& Rick) Morrison and Kayla (& Casey) Wirick, both of Niles; half-brothers Clifford (& Leah) Reum of Sylva, North Carolina and Christopher (& Sherlyn) Reum of Jacksonville, Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
The family of Michael Reum will host a Sharing of Memories from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Howard Elementary School.
