Patricia Jean Fedore, 93, of Niles, died peacefully Friday, July 24, 2026 in the comfort of her family’s presence.

She began her life June 25, 1933 in Kalamazoo, born to Fred and Bessie Ward. She married Richard Lee Fedore in 1953 at the First Presbyterian Church in Niles. He died in 1985 after thirty-three years of marriage.

Pat graduated from Niles High School in 1952. She worked at Michigan Bell for several years then became a full- time mom. She volunteered her time helping give hearing and vision tests at the elementary schools, working with Meals on Wheels and the Jayshees, where she was the president and “had the gavel”. She was in charge of the Blossomtime and Ms. Niles pageants and parades. For Ms. Blossomtime and Ms. Niles, she had her yellow Baracuda convertible. She would pick up participants and take them shopping and get them to their events. Pat was involved with local government as a poll watcher. She was an amazing cook, winning first prize in the Sorority Cook Book with her Corn Casserole. Pat was active in her church and participated in arts and craft shows there. She was deeply loved by many and her favorite place to be would be surrounded by her family, especially enjoying the children.

Pat will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by three daughters, Debbie Hatch of Niles, Sherry (Michael) Fedor of North Carolina, Jackie (Charles) Foghino of Niles; one son, Michael (Sarah) Fedore of Niles; fifteen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren; twenty great-great grandchildren; twenty- eight nieces and nephews; sixteen grand nieces and nephews; two sisters, Geri Esakson, Diana Johnson, one brother, Rick (Carol) Hand.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard, three brothers, three sisters, her son Richard Fedore and son-in-law Denny Hatch.

Family and friends will gather, Wednesday, July 29, 2026 10:00 a.m. at Hope Church 2390 Lake St, Niles, Michigan, her service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Pat will be laid to rest in Mission Hills Memorial Gardens. The family would like to invite friends and family to wear pink in honor of Pat. 

The family prefers contributions in memory of Pat be made to West Michigan Cancer Center Radiation & Surgical Specialties Attn: Development 200 North Park Street, Kalamazoo, Michigan, 49007.
