Richard Andrew Pauwels Sr.

Richard Andrew Pauwels, age 84, of Mishawaka, passed at his own home with his family present on November 27, 2025. He was the youngest of four children born to Raymond and Helen Pauwels on May 21, 1941.

Dick was an accomplished outdoorsman. He loved trapping and especially fishing, spending a lot of time at Diamond Lake. Dick was a Carpenter and was highly regarded as the best in his trade at making stairways. He earned many awards for running marathons, his favorite being the Niles Turkey Run. Dick would never miss his favorite television shows The Price is Right and Lets Make a Deal. Most importantly, he loved being with his family. Dick will be greatly missed by family and friends.

He is survived by his two sons, Richard (Chrissy) Pauwels Jr. of Illinois, Robert (Stacy) Pauwels of Mishawaka; two grandsons, Ricky Pauwels and Wyatt Pauwels. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.

Private services have taken place.
