Robert Mueller

Robert D. Mueller, age 62 years of Niles, Michigan died at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at home following an extended illness.
He was born on June 27, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois to Wilson Dewey and Mable (White) Mueller. He lived in Chicago much of his life before moving to Niles in 2001. He was employed at the North Niles Villa for many years.
Robert enjoyed motorcycle riding, and had a special interest in Harley-Davidsons. He also enjoyed bowling, but his greatest interest was his family, and especially the grandchildren.
He had been previously married to Laurie Harwood.
Surviving family includes his children, John (& Danielle) Mueller and Joe Mueller, both of Streamwood, Illinois, Jamie (& Deon Taylor) Scott of Niles, Tony (& Shaunteka) Harwood of Buchanan, and Krystal Saros of Mishawaka, Indiana; grandchildren, Jacob McKay, Isaiah Scott, Andre Scott, Stacia Scott, Cameron Harwood, Christian Harwood, Hailey Harwood, Layla Harwood, Jordan Saros, and Ryian Saros; and Robert’s brothers and sisters, Gene Mueller of Kentucky, Richard Mueller of California, Mary (& Guy) Gurschke of Berwyn, Illinois, Suzy (& Charlie) Riha of Elmhurst, Ilinois, Linda Smith of Cynthiana, Kentucky, Peggy Martinez of Phelps, Kentucky, and Paulette (& Corkey) Mueller of Prestonburg, Kentucky; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Robert Mueller will be at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles with Pastor Willie Moffit of the House of Prayer officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
