Rogelina Pineda Martinez

Rogelina “Roge” Pineda-Martinez, 57, of Berrien Springs, passed in the comfort of her family’s presence on Saturday, March 21, 2026.

Rogelina was hard working she spent many hours in the farm fields as a migrant worker. She had a passion for gardening and sewing. She liked to make dresses for her grandchildren. Rogelina was a single mother of six playing both roles of mother and father. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren. She was the glue that held the family together.

Rogelina will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her life partner, Meliton Rivera of Berrien Springs; two daughters, Josefina Pineda of South Bend, Lucia Pineda of Niles; four sons, Jesus Arana Pineda of Florida, Agustin Arana Pineda of Niles, Irving Pineda of Niles, Jorge Pineda of Niles; twenty- three grandchildren; one sister, Petra Pineda Martinez; one brother, Jose Del Carmen Pineda Martinez; father, Pedro Pineda Molina, Mother, Juana Martinez Doval and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first newborn son and grandson, Romeo Pineda Duran.

Family and friends will gather Wednesday, March 25, 2026 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church 219 South State Street, Niles. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 A.M. Rogelina will be laid to rest in Long Lake cemetery in Berrien Springs.

The family prefers contributions in memory of Rogelina, be made towards her funeral costs at Halbritter Wickens 615 East Main Street Niles, Michigan.
