Stanford Taylor



Stanford Wayne Taylor, age 46 years of Niles, Michigan died unexpectedly at 2:44 a.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Lakeland Hospital – Niles.

He was born on June 27, 1970 in Frankfurt, Germany to United States Serviceman Cecil Wayne and Sarah (Barbour) Taylor. He was raised as the son of a career serviceman, living throughout the world before settling in California. He was a skilled welder, and quickly found employment with the Spartan Tool Company in Niles after moving here in 2014.

Stan always enjoyed a variety of music, and was particularly interested in the wide variety of genre performed by Mr. Brian Patrick Carroll, who uses the stage name, “Buckethead”. He also enjoyed reading – often history – and debating over historic trivia. His greatest joy was the ocean, especially boating and fishing.

Surviving family includes his sons, Roy, Erik, and Kyle; and a wonderful circle of great friends and co-workers including Johnny Alvarado and Diana Garza.

Those relatives and friends will gather at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at the Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles to share memories and honor the life of Stan Taylor. Mr. Harry Lockridge of New Beginnings Ministries will assist the speakers.
