Buchanan – Wayne Arthur Sweeney, 66, passed away at 12:20pm on Tuesday, May 26, 2017 in Hanson Hospice Center,
Wayne was born on November 14, 1950 in Dowagiac, to the late John and Phyllis (Zimmerman) Sweeney.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Kathleen Jane (Skalla) and children, Chris (Tanya), Mike and Aaron (Melissa); and grandchildren, Caleb, Laura Taylor and Madeline.
Wayne honorable served in the US Navy. He worked at National Standard for 33 years before he retired. He enjoyed farming and hunting. He was a father figure to many. He loved his children and grandchildren, but the love of his life was his wife, Kathy. He passed without struggle while the words of the Bible were spoken.
A Funeral Service will begin at 12 noon on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 in New Vision Church with Bishop Burell presiding. Halbritter Wickens Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
