Emily Molica

Emily Molica, 97 of Niles, passed away on June 28, 2021 with her family by her side.

Emily was born on September 6, 1923 in Dowagiac to the late Frank and Cordella Smith.

On September 27, 1941 in Niles, she married Henry R. Molica who passed away on September 30, 2011.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children; Dennis (Jane Wharton) of The Villages, Fl., Marcia Horton-Fink of Haslett, MI and Phyllis Brenner of Woodstock, ON. As well as 6 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Emily was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church in Niles where she was active in the Christian Mothers Group.  She had the talent of drawing.  Emily would make the most amazing pencil drawing.  She was also able to colorize some black and white pictures.  Emily enjoyed Antique shopping, cooking and traveling with Henry.  She will be forever remembered as a loving, devoted mother.  Emily was the kindest person who always saw the good in everyone.  She was very family centered.

Visitation for Emily will be on Wednesday, June 30 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Halbritter Wickens Funeral Home 615 E. Main St. Niles.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, July 1 at 11:00am at St. Mark Catholic Church 3 N. 19th Street in Niles. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
