Julie Vogelsang

Julie Ann Vogelsang, age 58 years of Niles, Michigan, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many died peacefully at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 in the Emergency Department of Spectrum Lakeland Hospital in Niles following a battle against cancer.

She was born on April 2, 1964 in Niles to Pamela Kay Hitchcock, and attended Niles Community Schools.  Julie had a wonderful spirit which allowed her to make friends easily, and that same spirit was infectious enough to easily initiate parties with those friends.  She was truly a good person who touched many lives.

She was married to Craig Allen Vogelsang who sadly preceded her in death just months ago on June 22, 2022.  She was also preceded in death by her mother and by a brother, James D. Hitchcock.

Surviving family includes her children, Destiny Ann, Jolene Neese, Heather Rae, and Jake; and grandchildren Lexi, Toby, Braelin, Christina, Lucas, Titus, another Christina, Ethan, Airien, Paris, Alexis, and Jaylee.

The family and friends of Julie Vogelsang will be gathering again for a party, but this time the party will have the purpose to celebrate her life and share memories about her.  Arrangements were completed at the Halbritter-Wickens Funeral Home, 615 East Main Street in Niles.  Online condolences may be left at:
