Kenneth Michael Coleman

June 9, 1949 – November 14. 2021

Kenneth ‘Mike’ Coleman, 72 of Stevensville passed away after a lengthy illness in St. Francis Hospital in Michigan City, Indiana.

Mike was born on June 9, 1949 to the late Kenneth D. and Catherine (Jones) Coleman in Urbana, Ohio.

Mike honorably served in the Navy aboard the Ethan Allen Class Submarine, Thomas A. Edison for 4 ½ years.  Afterwards, he was in the Navy reserve.

Mike is survived by the love of his life with whom he has enjoyed over 35 wonderful years, Darlene Dillenbeck of Stevensville.  He is also survived by his former wife Ruth and daughter Kellie, many close friends and his faithful Boarder Collie, Lexi Lyn.

Mike was a member of the American Legion.  He loved all cars, especially Corvettes and Suburbans.  Mike worked for Corvette Central for over 40 years.  When he started working here, he felt as if he found a home and a family.  Mike had worked his way up to Sales.  He welcomed any challenge sent his way.  Mike was the guy everyone went to when they needed help. Working at Corvette Central was more than a job to Mike.   He loved the thrill of buying and selling Corvette parts. Mike would often go to swap meets, car shows and auctions.  He enjoyed the thrill of the deal.

Mike was one of a kind.  Among all his talents he was able to find that balance of being kind, loving and caring yet was strong, focused and business minded.

Visitation for Mike will be held on Friday, November 19, 2021 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Halbritter Wickens Funeral Home 615 E. Main St. Niles. Visitation will also be held on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service. A funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday, November 20, at 11:00 am in the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
